Omaiki Lotus pads are made in Canada by Omaiki and are ultra thin, come in great prints and offer a waterproof backing. Made with natural fibers, pads are easy to care for and don’t contain the same chemicals that disposable products do. Plus, they’re comfortable, absorbent and won’t end up in the landfill!

These pads are thin have natural fibers + a waterproof backing and really great prints! See my samples below and find out more about these pads.

Disclosure: I received product samples to facilitate my review, however, the opinions here are my own.

I love products made responsibly and with thoughtfulness and care for the environment. Omaiki makes great products that are designed and made in Canada with Canadian fabrics! This means that fabrics aren’t traveling from far away, using extra gas and resources and they support local businesses. To me, that makes their Lötus pads even more Eco-Friendly and a valuable brand to support!

Overall Impression

I love these pads! They are high on my list of pads I recommend for thinness and waterproof backing. I wear these often on my lighter days or as a cup back up. I do have 2-3 very heavy days and I tend to use a heavy flow menstrual cup or a pad designed for these days that I think is a quarter inch thick!

Could you have an entire stash of these? Yes. They have more prints and designs and these could easily be an entire stash or an addition to your current pad-collection.

Downsides

If I have to come up with a downside, I would have to say that the natural fibers can show stains more easily than something dark or synthetic. However, for the tradeoff, you have natural, breathable, toxin-free fibers against your most precious areas.

See my tips for removing stains from reusable pads to keep them in great shape!

The waterproof PUL backing can slide around a bit. I find that a fleece or cotton woven backing stays put better, however, again there’s a tradeoff. Fleece tends to be much thicker and is not completely waterproof, it’s possible to leak through. The PUL also offers really great looking prints and their thin nature makes them fast in the dry cycle!

Where to purchase

I’m waiting for more retailers to list here but right now, the best place to buy these is on the Omaiki Website!
