MIU Cup Review
The MIU cup, reusable menstrual cup, is sleek, easy to use and comfortable. I received product samples to test out and like all of the products you see here, I actually put them to use and share my feedback! Did it leak or move around? How was the fit? Details below!
When the MIU cup arrived in the mail, I couldn’t wait to get my cycle. I tried the XO Flo the month before and was thrilled to see that this was smooth as well, no ridges at the bottom, but smaller in size and has a very soft and flexible stem.

How it worked out
I was thrilled with this cup from the start. I used the size 2 in pink, the sofer color. I first tried the punch down fold (my favorite) and it didn’t open. Next, I tried the C fold and wa-la! It opened. I got it on the first try! I started on a light day and thought perhaps that the comfort and zero leaking was due a light flow. However, the comfort and zero leaking continued.
I later mastered the punch-down with this cup too and it has been opening reliably!
I have a high-cervix and to my pleasant surprise, this cup stayed where I put it. I released my grip on it where I could still reach the stem and it was in-place every time I went to retrieve it! The bottom does not have grips, so it was a little slippery to grab at first but after perfecting my stem pull and then quick switch to a cup grab to break the seal I had it down. The seal was easy to break and I really enjoyed using this cup!

This is not a high-capacity cup. While the larger size is 27ml, which is close to 30 like many similar sized cups, the smaller cup is 18ml. I used the cup for my regular days and then switched to pads for one of my heavy days and then to the Yuuki cup model 2 for my second heavy day, a 37ml cup that I like for just that use!
The lack of grips can go either way. Some people need grips for removal, others don’t like the grips and can find them comfortable. I thought this cup was extremely comfortable and unlike my Diva, I didn’t feel like it was poking my vagina when I sat in a chair.
