Kitty Kat Cloth Pads Review, Cat Shaped Cloth Pads
Do you love cats? Do you love cloth pads that look like cats? These are for you! I ordered several pads from Kitty Kat Cloth to try them out. I love the shape plus enjoy trying new brands of reusable menstrual pads. I’ve been using these for a few months now and want to share my thoughts with you.
I admit to being drawn to the cat shape from Kitty Kat Cloth pads. Who wouldn’t want a fun cat shaped pad? They’re adorable! However, when I first searched etsy for Kitty Kat Cloth I came up empty handed. The brand goes by KittyKatCloth on etsy and typically the shop is empty.
If you find the group on Facebook you’ll notice some stocking times, also announced on Instagram.
Really fun organic cotton & bamboo velour toppers plus windpro or organic cotton PUL backing make the pads adorable and have cores made from a combination of flannel and heavy bamboo fleece. But how do they perform?
Kitty Kat Cloth pad features:
- Handmade in Maryland, USA
- Fun cat shapes including: Sit’N kitten, sitting, cat fish, fish, caticorn (cat unicorn), cat shape, mouse and reusable menstrual cup bags
- Cores are hidden like in the pads here and the shop also makes exposed core.
- Toppers are typically organic bamboo or cotton velour.
- Heart shape snap on wings
- Backing: Windpro or Organic Cotton PUL hybrid
- Core: “combination of flannel and heavy bamboo fleece”
- Center stitched line to help direct flow
In addition to the pads you see here, I also own a thong liner and an exposed core pad. I love the shape and they have held up and washed well. However, I find that these pads are lacking in absorbency compared to the other brands in my pad stash.
When I first received the pads I messaged the shop to make sure there was a core in the pads! The owner let me know that the core is made with a hidden method that makes it the size of the pad and not like a runway strip or a recognizable shape like the other pads in my collection. However, I don’t find that these are my go-to pads for heavier days. I did wear one on a moderately heavy day and quickly gushed over both sides onto my pants and underwear.
So, in short. I love the shape, designs and fabrics but only rely on these for light days. Now, you may say that these are great pads for you on heavy days…but keep in mind that flow days are relative and these just aren’t a match for my heavy or moderate/heavy days. Cute but not 100% functional for me.
Due to the following the shop owner has made with these designs + great customer service and desire to get unique and limited pads…they are usually out of stock. If you want to get a pad you should watch for a stocking and try to buy pads as quickly as possible before they get stolen from your cart! If you’re like me and don’t enjoy the chase I have a lot of great pad shops here in this list.
