Vaginal steaming, V-Steaming or V-Steam
What’s vaginal steaming and should you do it? Vaginal steaming also known as v-steaming, v-steam or traditionally as yoni steaming. It’s is a technique “…whereby a woman squats or sits over steaming water containing herbs such as mugwort, rosemary, wormwood and basil.” (1) This process is widespread and has been practiced throughout history by many cultures.
Why would someone steam or smoke their vagina? Would you hover your vulva over a steaming hot pot of water and herbs? The details may surprise you.
Clarycalm essential oils for your uterus
I am a skeptic. I’m not sure most of the products on the market work. Pharmaceutical products, natural products etc. and I love proving myself wrong. I started collecting essential oils when I became a Mom. I suddenly felt a burning desire to search for natural ingredients that have proven results. I always liked the way the oils smelled, but wanted to move past smell and into therapeutic use.
Therapeutic grade matters. Not all essential oils are the same. The process in which the oils are derived matters. Cold pressing typically produces therapeutic grade essential oils and any heating destroys the therapeutic properties. I have been drawn to doTerra oils because they do extensive testing and product therapeutic grade oils and blends.
Ben Wa Balls
The first time I heard about Ben Wa Balls I was talking with the Moms at my son’s karate class. I had recently reviewed the KegelSmart trainer and these peaked my interest!
The search was on! What are Ben Wa Balls? I’ll tell you! There are several different styles and uses. Ben Wa balls are also known as Geisha Balls, Orgasm Balls, Venus Balls, and Duotone balls. (1) I am testing a set out now and want to share the details!
Do you know the difference between your vagina and vulva?
It was high-school health class. Our instructor stood at the front by the chalk board with a smug look on her face. After writing out the word, she began yelling “Give me a V, Give me an A, Give me a G, Give me an I, Give me an N, Give me an A! What’s it spell VAGINA, Louder Vagina, LOUDER…VAGINA!”
That was the first time I had really said vagina out loud. Definitely the first time I said it around an audience of my peers and even though that was many moons ago, not much has changed. It’s still not a word easily thrown around or worked into every day conversations, women are still unaware and ashamed of body functions and there are women all over the world who don’t know their own parts.
Let’s fix that!
